EFIC 50 Years Expanding Business Horizons |
10 July 2007 This year the Export Finance and Insurance Corporation (EFIC), Australia’s export credit agency, celebrates 50 years of helping Australian exporters and investors succeed in world markets. Through five decades of momentous change at home and abroad, EFIC has adapted its finance and insurance services to meet the needs of Australian companies, large and small, exporting and investing overseas. From its early days as the Export Payments Insurance Corporation, when export credit insurance for the nation’s wool exporters dominated the business, EFIC has evolved to provide tailored financial packages to a wide range of Australian companies. Today our clients benefit from EFIC’s 50 years’ experience and expertise in managing the risks of exporting and investing overseas, particularly in emerging markets. EFIC has a truly international reach, collaborating with Australian and global financial institutions to provide flexible and innovative facilities beyond what is available in the commercial market. EFIC’s extensive network of alliances with local industry groups, as well as state and territory, and federal government agencies, gives Australian companies an edge in pursuing their international business goals. On the 10th July 2007, EFIC celebrated fifty years of expanding business horizons at a special dinner hosted by Peter Young, EFIC's Chairman and Angus Armour, Managing Director. Guest of Honour at the event was The Hon Warren Truss MP, Minister for Trade.
