EFIC has received applications for facilities for the following Category A projects.

Under the terms of EFIC's Environment Policy, Category A Projects are considered likely to have significant adverse environmental and/or social impacts.

As part of the assessment process for Category A projects, EFIC allows a 30 day public consultation period in relation to the sponsor's assessment of the environmental and social impact of the project.  A link to this assessment has been provided - see "Project Link" in the table below.

For reference, EFIC generally expects the sponsor's environmental and social impact assessment to be undertaken with reference to International Finance Corporation's 'Performance Standard 1: Social and Environmental Assessment and Management Systems'.

Parties interested in providing comments on the impact assessment undertaken by the project sponsors should e-mail them by the closing date for public comments on the particular project. Alternatively they may be mailed to:
