World Risk Developments is a free monthly email update of key economic and political events worldwide which is produced by EFIC’s Economics Team.

Unlike most newsletters on the world economy, World Risk Developments is written for companies that are exporting or making direct investments overseas. It focuses on the particular risks of cross-border business, such as contract renegotiation, expropriation, exchange controls and political violence. World Risk Developments circulates widely in Australia and overseas.

  • 2011: A number of developments – not least the eurozone debt crisis – began to drag on the world economy.
  • 2012: The most conspicuous economic risk in 2012 will continue to be the eurozone.
