Flexible leave and working arrangements
- Employees have 20 days’ annual leave. They can apply for extra annual leave, for which they can salary sacrifice over a twelve month period, or for leave without pay.
- Employees are entitled to 15 days’ sick leave, 10 days of which can be used as carer’s leave.
- Other paid leave is available to meet individual needs.
Paid parental leave
Eligible employees are entitled to 12 weeks’ paid parental leave and 40 weeks’ unpaid parental leave.
Wherever possible, EFIC gives employee the opportunity to work flexible hours.

Employees are eligible for income protection insurance to provide financial security during a period of disability due to injury or serious illness.

Employees may apply for study assistance for approved courses which lead to recognised qualifications. Assistance is available in the form of:
- paid study leave

Individual performance bonuses are awarded to employees who perform well beyond the requirements of their role.
