Browser standards

Do you find that when you browse www.efic.gov.au, the layout and presentation of the website doesn't look right? If so, it's likely that you're using a web browser that doesn't support the standards set out by the World Wide Web Consortium (www.w3.org). We recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of Microsoft Internet Explorer.

EFIC endeavours to conform with the XHTML transitional specifications.  This page has deliberately been created without a style sheet, so that all you see is the text, without layout.

Building to standards

EFIC has implemented the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Standards and Web Accessibility Initiative Guidelines for accessible web page design for people with disabilities. The W3C establishes extensive criteria and a site must comply with all priority 1, 2 and 3 checkpoints to receive the AAA rating.
